MEETING NOTICES:

  1. Notice to repeal SB31 and restore the Utah state flag

    During the 2023 General Legislative Session, the Utah legislature recently passed SB31, changing the Utah state flag in its entirety. A statewide initiative has been filed to repeal SB31 and restore the Utah state flag and will be presented to voters in Utah for their approval or rejection at the next regular general election on November 5, 2024, if residents are able to gather the required number of signatures.   2. MEETING TO AMEND THE RICH COUNTY DEVELOPMENT CODE FOR CAMPGROUNDS

    The Rich County Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a Public Hearing to receive comments:

                WHAT:          Inclusion of campground provision in development code
                WHEN:          Thursday, June 29, 2023 at 7:00 pm
                WHERE:       Laketown Hall 10 N. 200 E. Laketown, Ut.

    The Rich County Planning & Zoning Commission has reviewed the Development Code and found it necessary to revise portions of this document.  This public hearing is to receive comments on those changes.

    The commission proposes to adopt provisions that would guide campgrounds for tents, Recreational Vehicles, and Semi-Permanent Structures and provide for the zones where these uses would be allowed..

    Anyone wishing to comment at this hearing must keep those comments to five (5) minutes.  Any group of people with the same opinion wishing to comment should have one speaker representing that group.

    A complete copy of the provisions proposed for amendment are available for public review at the following locations: Bear Lake Regional Commission Office, 69 N. Paradise Pkwy. Garden City        

               Public comments are requested and may be given at the hearing or in writing to:
